Why “After the Rain”

Every organisation has its weather. There are stretches where everything feels heavy and grey — too much information, competing priorities, work that piles up faster than anyone can clear it. The instinct is to add more: more tools, more dashboards, more meetings. Usually it just makes the storm louder.

We named the agency for the other side of that. After the rain is the moment the air clears, the ground settles, and you can finally see the landscape again. That’s the feeling we’re trying to give the people we work with — not a flashy new system, but a quiet sense that things are under control.

How we think about AI

We’re deliberately unromantic about the technology. AI is a remarkably good tool for a particular kind of problem: reading, sorting, summarising, watching, and drafting at a scale and speed that people can’t sustain. It is not magic, and it shouldn’t be sold as such.

So we lead with the problem. We’d rather tell you that a spreadsheet and an afternoon would solve your issue than sell you a model you don’t need. When AI genuinely is the right answer, we build it carefully, explain it plainly, and make sure you understand exactly what it’s doing and why.

Where we are

We’re based in the south of England and work with organisations across the UK. We’re small by design — senior people doing the actual work, rather than a sales team in front of a delivery team you never meet. That keeps us honest, keeps the work sharp, and keeps you talking to the person who is building the thing.
